SRF support to junior members for Annual
Conference
Reclaim some of your conference costs!
One of the major functions of the SRF is to support
its members, and the Society would particularly like
to encourage more junior members to attend its meetings.
The Society will offer up to £350 for its junior
members to attend the Annual Conference.
You will need to attend each day of the conference
and if you qualify you can claim
this support annually.
Qualifying junior members of the society include PhD
students and postdoctoral fellows. To qualify, PhD students
should attend each day of the conference. Postdoctoral
fellows should be the first author of an abstract and
should attend and present their work at the conference.
To claim this
support, you need to be a non-statutory member of the
Society at the time of the meeting or have your membership
application accepted at the AGM. You must not have a
permanent academic position and your status will need
to be confirmed by your supervisor or PI.
How to claim
- If necessary, submit the SRF membership application
included in your conference information, complete
the online membership application
form or contact the SRF Business Office: phone
Pat Kitching on 01423 564488)
- After the conference, complete and submit the claim
form which you will find in your conference registration
pack. Claims must be submitted within 1 month of the
