SRF Postgrad/Doc Election 2012

Alison will be stepping down from her role as postgrad-doc rep in July, and we will be holding an election at the conference. The new representative will also sit on the Meetings Committee and can get real insight into the running of the society and conference. If anyone is interested in this fun and challenging position or would like any more info please get in touch with either Fiona or Alison. 

International Network of Young Researchers in Male Fertility

SRF sponsored the 4th Meeting of the International Network of Young Researchers in Male fertility. The meeting was deemed a great success with 62 participants from 14 countries (Europe, Brazil, Nigeria, etc). The report of the meeting can be viewed by clicking here.

Honorary Members of SRF

At this year’s AGM, SRF decided to create four new Honorary Members of the Society: Twink Allen, Henry Leese, Alan McNeilly and Bob Edwards.

The SRF regards this as a very prestigious award given to those who have made a very significant contribution during their career to scientific progression or education in the field of reproductive biology, and/or the works of the Society and its journal, Reproduction.

 

Academic Scholarships

We have established an academic scholarship fund to support SRF members who have established academic posts to develop and maintain their research programmes. Applications from the 2011 funding round are currently being considered by the Committee and the results will appear here in due course. SRF granted 6 academic scholarships in 2010 from the applications received. read more ...
